REVIEW

What I read in the book description and find in the book is so different matter for me. First, I'm not ready the blown away by it. Feels the sorrow and sometimes smile because I happy for them to be together. Charlee's past is really dark but unlike many dark books I don't drown in the feeling of anguish, fear. I'm too empatic for that's kind of books, I'm glad this one isn't one of them.

When I first met Jay Mayard in the book I afraid he is a bit kind of weak in the personality. He stir clear of everything, erect a wall and hide behind it. But when our charachters meet again after a few years then I see a man, a real man who can conqueor all the problem if have a right person encouraging him. Right then I begun the love this story. Time a time of course I'm pissed off he falls the trap of his old life habits and upset his relationship with Charlee. But apart from that I really like him. In every woman he search a Charlee, I find it quite lovely. He is obssesed about Charlee, for most condition this must be unhealty thing for their injured hearts this it must be. His rocker persona is definitely a plus from my account.

How much darkness in the book can't affect me, I'm a little bit upset by what that billionare boogeyman did that to her arond the years. He is a really boogeyman in the story. When I read it I'm anxious about when it show it's head and say "Boo!" for afraid the shit out of us. Even toward the end I thought they can't rid of this monster for good. There will be no good end for them... What I find in the end really blow my heads away. I really bought authors ruse when she throws away at us. I cry my eyes out for this. Can't believe the what happens.

In the end she ease my head with good news and I'm happy for it. I'm really sucker for HEA. I can't think the oppisite for the ending. The short of it I really like the story and characters. I thank you Pam for this good book! I shall read your other books!

Kitabın özetinde okuduğum ile içinde bulduğum cidden çok farklıydı. Öncelikle bu kadar etkileneceğimi düşünmemiştim. Hüznü hissetmeyi, çiftimiz sırf beraber olduğu için sevinmeyi beklemiyordum. Charlee'nin geçmişi gerçekten karanlık ama çoğu hemcinslerine göre yazarın bize aktardığı acı ve korkuda insan boğulmuyor. Maalesef bu tür kitaplar için fazla empati kuran biriyim ve bu kitabın öyle çıkmadığına sevindim.

İlk erkek karakterimiz Jay Mayard ile tanıştığımda biraz zayıf karakterli bulduğum için korkmuştum. Kendine bir duvar kurmuş ve herşeyden uzak kalıp onun arkasına saklanıyordu. Ama karakterlerimiz birkaç yıldan sonra tekrar buluştuklarında karşılaştığım adam beni umutlandırdı. Karşımda doğru kişinin sevgisi ve yönlendirmesiyle bütün problemlerinden  kurtulabilecek bir adam vardı. Oradan sonra hikayeye kapılmaya başladım. Ara sıra eski hayatındaki alışkanlıklara kapılıp Charlee ile ilişkisini bozması tabii siniri bozdu. Bunun dışında onu gerçekten sevdim. Her kadında Charlee'yi araması hoşuma gidiyordu. Charlee'ye cidden takıntılı ama çoğu durumda bu hastalıklı bir şey sayılsada çiftimizin yaralı kalplerinin ihtiyaçları kesinlikle buydu. Oğlumuzun rockçı olmasıda kesinlikle bir artıydı benim için.

Kitaptaki karanlık geçmiş beni ne kadar etkilemedi desemde kızımızın başına zengin sadist öcü tarafından gelenler karşında üzüldüm. Adam cidden kitaptaki öcü farktörüydü. Okurken her an kafasını gösterip "Böö!" deyip işleri yokuşa sokmasını beklemek beni tedirgin ediyordu. Sonlara doğru o adamdan cidden kurtulamayacaklarını mutlu sona kavuşamayacaklarını düşündüm. Sonunda olanlar ise aklımı başımdan aldı. Yazarın ortaya attığı entrikayı cidden afiyetle yedim, yuttum. Olanlara inanamayıp özlerim şişene kadar ağladım bile onun yüzünden.

Sonunda kafamı güzel haberle öyle bir rahatlattı ki çok mutlu oldum. Mutlu sonlara karşı ciddi bir takıntım var. Aksi olan bir sonu düşünemiyorum bile. Kısacası hikayeyi ve karakteri sevdim. Pam'e böyle güzel bir kitap yazdığı için teşekkür ederim! Diğer kitaplarınıda mutlaka okuyacağım.

A woman with a white-blonde pixie haircut backed out of the shop and dammit if he couldn’t stop himself from gawking. She was slender, but not in a bones-pressing-skin kind of way. She had a figure that could only be toned with good nutrition and rigorous activity. Oh yeah, she was built for stamina.

She locked the door, and turned toward him, tipping back her head.

The bluest eyes he’d ever seen stared up at him. They were ringed with navy and glimmered with silver flecks. They were also wide with...fear? No, that couldn’t be it if her smile were anything to go by. Her beautiful face seemed to swallow up the glow of the streetlamps, the passing headlights, the goddamned moon.

“Hi.” Her smile wavered. “You look lost. Can I help?”

Oh Christ, her voice. It was the complete package, like the full-bodied Fsus2 chord humming from the hole in his Martin Acoustic. Gentle, cool, hypnotic—

“You’re lost, right?”

She had no idea. “Just found what I’m looking for.” Smooth, Jay. What the hell was he doing?
