Synopsis:
Can she overcome her consuming desire for him?

Marley Mason is dreading the arrival of the new
business consultant. After all, this man will most likely outsource her job to
China. The last thing she would expect is a case of mistaken identity, leading
to false accusations of kidnapping when she attempts to pick up the wrong man
at the airport, or worse…that she would have such a visceral reaction to the
right man.
Rick Randy is super sexy, scandalously flirty,
and perfect masturbation material, but a relationship is out of the question.
Rick is contracted on a temporary basis to fix Marley’s ailing company, and
then pull out, although as he expresses to Marley, pulling out is difficult for
him, in more ways than one! Marley’s feelings range from utter confusion to
intense contemplation as Rick charms his way into her life. All of those

The Other C-Word it's a unexpected book for me. Before I read I look the publishers page and saw a warning and thought this book full of drama and sorrow. But from the first scene I started to laughing and that's a good surprise for me. Even now I laugh when I remember the few scene in the book.
Our heroine has a troubled pas but has a faith in the world, hasn't give up hope. I like this behavior the most. I thought it is to pessimist to think one bad thing could throw away your life to dirt.
Marley and Rick has really hot chemistry between them. When Marley thought Rick is going to fire her and in the contrary she finds herself falling love with him and this process told with really good scenes. Even their first meeting incredible! - I barely contain myself for telling spoilers about it! -
Apart from this Marley's family rock! They really crazy people with kind heart. I love them at least like our characters. Story makes you laugh one moments and makes you sad in the next. This is a first for me. I'm anxiously waiting M K Schiller's new books! :)

The Other C-Word benim yine hiç ummadığım kitaplardan birisi oldu. Öncelikle yayınevi sayfasındaki uyarıya göre baştan sona dram dolu, hüzünlü bir kitap bekliyordum ama daha ilk sahneden bana kahkahalar attırması süper bir süpriz oldu. Bende düşündükçe gülmemi sağlayan sahneler bıraktı. Kızımız sorunlu bir geçmiş yaşamış ama buna rağmen hayata karşı umudunu kaybetmemiş. En çok bu tavrını beğendim. Hayatında kötü bir şey olup tüm ümidini kaybedip herşeyi olumsuz düşünmek fazla pesimist bir düşünce yapısı gibi geliyor.
Marley ile Rick arasında ki uyum cidden süperdi. Kızımız iş yerini düzene sokmak için gelen bu adamın kendisini kovmasını beklerken ona aşık olması cidden komik anlarla süslenmişti. Tanışmaları bile olaydı yahu! - Spoilersız yorum yazacağım diye göbek çatlıyorum burda -
Bunların dışında kızın ailesi cidden tam manyak. Her biri ayrı bir alem. Onlarıda en az karakterlerimiz kadar sevdim. Hikayede sizi bir an güldürüp bir an hüzünlendiren sahnelerde bulunmakta. Bu açıdan benim için bir ilkti sanırım. Yazarın yeni kitaplarını merakla bekliyorum. :)

Kızımız şirket sekreteri tarafından oğlumuzu havaalanından alması için görevlendirilir. Kovulacağı düşüncesini kardeşiyle paylaşınca o da Marley'i tam bir seksi iş kadını kılığına sokar. Arabası kirli olduğundan yolda yıkatmasını söyler.
Araba yıkanırken adamın uçak bilgilerinin ve yolcu koltuğunun üzerine kahve döker. Aman beni kovacak zaten mübah ona diye düşünür. Bu aksilikler yüzünden de pek bir geç kalır.
Havaalanında da elindeki kahve dökülmüş kağıtta sadece iki harf ve adamın soyadı görünüyordur. Şans bu ki yanında kalem bile yoktur! Gider kağıda rujla "R U Randy" yazar mı? Tercüme edersek bu "Azgın Mısın?" demeye geliyor. Sen yaşlı bir moruk yanına gelip "Ben Randy - Azgın manasında - " der mi? Kızda adamı götürmeye kalkışırken yaşlı moruğun kızı babamı kaçırıyorlar diye güvenlikleri başına toplar. Kızımız şok olmuş bir biçimde duruma anlam vermeye çalışırken oğlumuz onu bu gülünç durumdan kurtarır. Kızımız bu sırada hala bu adamın neden kendini Randy diye tanıttığını anlayamamıştır. :))

“Stop
it, you’re tempting me, and we promised,” I warned.
He
held up his hands in defeat, but the smirk remained. “Sorry, just one question.
Will the parts I’m tickling be shaved or unshaved?”
I
crossed my arms, tapping my feet. “Which would you prefer?”
He
leant back in his chair, placing his hands behind his head. “It’s completely
optional, but my preference is smooth.”
“That’s
good.”
“Why
is that, Marley?”
“I
am smooth.”
His
eyes took on a new intensity, causing me to feel somewhat victorious in this
exchange. I knew he was painting a mental picture in his head. He bit his lower
lip, and his hands actually shook when he pointed to me. “Get the hell out of
my office. Don’t come in here unless you need something. Got it?”
“Fine.”
“Fine.”
I
slammed the door on my way out.
